Why Does A Household Submersible Pump Not Turn?

Nov 18, 2024

1, Circuit malfunction
1. There is a problem with the power supply circuit: If the water pump only sounds and does not turn, the first thing to check is whether the power supply circuit is normal. Dust accumulation, aging, short circuits, etc. can all cause abnormal power lines. At this point, you can use an electric pen to check the circuit and see if it is powered on.
2. There is a problem with the motor circuit: Problems with the motor circuit can also cause the water pump to not rotate. Can detect whether the motor circuit is aging, loose, or damaged. The solution is to replace the damaged circuit or replace the entire motor.
2, Mechanical malfunction
1. Pump impeller stuck: If the water pump impeller is stuck, it will cause the water pump to only make noise and not turn. You can disassemble the water pump to check if the impeller is stuck or damaged. If the impeller is damaged, it needs to be replaced. If it gets stuck, rust removal treatment is required.
2. Bearing damage: Problems with the water pump bearings can also cause the water pump to not rotate. You can check if the bearings are worn or if they need to be oiled. If the wear is severe, the bearings need to be replaced.
3, Capacitor malfunction
1. Capacitor electrolysis: If the capacitor ages, the electrolyte will expand, causing the capacitor to explode and burn out the motor. The capacitor needs to be replaced.
2. Capacitor short circuit: If the capacitor is short circuited, the motor will overheat and then burn. The capacitor needs to be replaced.
