Detailed Explanation Of Wax Loss Method For Casting Stainless Steel Process

Jul 23, 2024

1, Background
Stainless steel is an important metal material with excellent corrosion resistance and mechanical properties, widely used in the field of pumps and valves. The lost wax casting method is a commonly used metal casting process, which has the advantages of high precision, high quality, and high efficiency. It can produce metal parts with complex shapes and thin walls, especially suitable for the casting of stainless steel.
2, Process flow
(1) Mould manufacturing
Firstly, mold manufacturing is carried out based on the drawings of the parts, reflecting the shape and size of the parts in the mold, requiring high precision and surface smoothness of the mold.
(2) Wax pattern manufacturing
After heating the mold to the appropriate temperature, pour liquid wax into the mold and wait for the wax to solidify before removing the wax mold. Wax molds require high precision, smooth surface, and uniform density to ensure the smooth progress of subsequent steps.
(3) Wax burning demolding
Place the wax mold in the oven for wax burning, heat the wax mold to a certain temperature to melt and flow out, in order to prepare the cavity. At the same time, slowly heat the wax mold during demolding to prevent burning the surface of the cavity.
(4) Sintering
Sinter the cavity after wax burning to enhance its strength and ensure that it will not deform or break during pouring.
(5) Pouring
Pour the molten stainless steel liquid into the chamber, wait for it to cool, and then remove it to obtain the desired stainless steel parts.
