Detailed Information On Multi-stage Pumps

Nov 25, 2024

A multi-stage pump is a centrifugal pump that increases fluid pressure by connecting multiple pump stages in series within a single pump body. It is suitable for applications that require high head and high pressure. Its basic structure includes components such as inlet section, outlet section, middle section, tail cover, impeller, pump body, pump shaft, bearings, sealing ring, and packing box. Multi stage pumps typically consist of a series of impellers and baffles, which are responsible for boosting and diverting water flow respectively, thereby achieving continuous boosting.

Multi stage pumps have the characteristics of high head capacity, compact design, easy maintenance, energy efficiency, strong adaptability, good sealing performance, wide applicability, and high reliability. The common types of multi-stage pumps include volute multi-stage pumps, segmental multi-stage pumps, and double shell pumps.

Multi stage pumps are widely used in industrial and civilian fields, such as water supply systems, heating systems, cooling systems, industrial flushing and fire protection systems, etc.
