How To Solve The Vibration Phenomenon Of Integrated Sewage Pump Station

May 07, 2025

As the name suggests, an integrated sewage pump station is an intelligent integrated sewage treatment pump station that compensates for various shortcomings of traditional concrete sewage pump stations. It is an integrated pump station developed based on modern Internet of Things technology and combined with various supporting facilities inside the pump.
The policy of water conservancy work in the new era revolves around "water conservation priority, spatial balance, systematic governance, and dual efforts". One of the major challenges in water conservancy work is to solve the problem of sewage treatment. In densely populated countries, it is also a difficult problem to directly discharge various types of sewage generated into sewage treatment plants or drainage pipelines without polluting the surrounding environment. The emergence of integrated sewage pumping stations has become a blessing for sewage discharge.
It can be used in various situations, has strong adaptability, and has a high degree of automatic integration. It can achieve remote monitoring and unmanned operation, thus adapting to various regions. The submersible sewage pump inside the pump can lift sewage from lower terrain, allowing the sewage to enter the pump for treatment and then be transported to the destination.
The scientific design and equipment of the pump station's special coated fiberglass cylinder make the machine have a long service life, reduce damage costs, and there is no need to worry about the sewage corroding the cylinder and causing leakage and pollution to the environment during sewage treatment. The fully buried installation design makes the pump station more concealed and does not affect the aesthetics of the surrounding environment.

Good stability is required during operation to achieve excellent performance. If there is unknown vibration during the operation of the pump station, it is a fault in the integrated sewage pump station. At this time, it is necessary to quickly identify the cause of the vibration and solve the problem to avoid adverse effects on the pump station and noise pollution.
There are many reasons for the vibration phenomenon in integrated sewage pump stations, which are caused by the units and pump room buildings. If the quality of the motor and pump rotating components in the pump station is poor, installation errors occur, the axis of the unit is asymmetric, the swing exceeds the allowable value, the mechanical strength and stiffness of the components are poor, the bearings and seals are worn and damaged, or the critical speed of the pump resonates with the natural frequency of the unit, strong vibration and noise will be generated.
The second reason is the vibration generated by the motor. The motor controls the entire operation process of the pump station. If the magnetic force inside the motor is unbalanced or other electrical systems are out of balance, it will cause the pump to vibrate and produce noise. Another reason for the vibration of the pump station is the inlet and outlet. The vibration caused by the inlet and outlet is usually due to improper design, such as unreasonable design of the inlet flow channel of the unit, mismatch between the inlet and the unit, improper submergence depth of the water pump, improper start stop sequence of the unit, etc., which can deteriorate the inlet conditions, generate vortices, induce cavitation or aggravate the vibration of the unit and pump room.
The above are the main reasons for the vibration of the pumping station. Therefore, when the integrated sewage pumping station vibrates, the true cause of the vibration should be identified based on the above reasons to repair the pumping station.
