How To Troubleshoot Small Submersible Electric Pump Faults?

1. When starting, the small submersible electric pump does not rotate:

Reason: The packing is too tight or the impeller or pump body is blocked by debris; Corrosion of shafts, bearings, and sealing rings; The pump shaft is severely bent.

Solution: unclog the water channel: dismantle the pump body to remove impurities or rust; Correct the bent shaft or replace it with a new pump shaft.

2. After starting, the small submersible pump does not produce water:

Reason: There is air in the pump or gas in the inlet pipe; The bottom valve is not tightly closed, the filling is insufficient, and the vacuum pump packing leaks severely. Or the gate valve is not tightly closed.

Solution: Remove debris, replace damaged rubber pads, and change valve direction; Press or replace the new packing, close the gate valve or gently knock on the door; Increase the water injection volume until there are no bubbles at the exhaust plug; Water pipe rupture; Reduce the head and press the pump nozzle into the water by 0.5m

3. Insufficient traffic:

Reason: The actual head of the customized water pump exceeds the allowable head; Mismatched speed or belt slippage, low speed; The installation angle of the axial flow pump blades is too small; Excessive suction; Partial blockage or impeller defects in bottom valves, pipelines, and impellers; The water outlet pipe is leaking severely.

Solution: Reduce the head, restore the rated speed, remove dirt from the belt, and adjust the belt tension; Adjust the blade angle and lower the installation position of the water pump; Tighten the gland, seal the leaking part of the water pump, tighten the packing or replace the packing; Clear the blockage and replace the impeller; Replace the leakage ring to prevent leakage.

4. The flow rate of a small submersible pump decreases from high to low:

Reason: The filter or horn mouth is gradually blocked by debris; The dynamic water level drops, and the water depth of the inlet pipe is insufficient.

Solution: Remove debris and increase the water depth of the bottom valve.

5. Water outflow during the operation of small submersible electric pumps:

Do not drain or intermittently drain, drain less.

(1) The motor does not start, troubleshoot the circuit;

(2) Pipeline blockage, eliminate blockage;

(3) Pipeline damage, repair welding or replacement;

Filter blockage and removal;

The inhalation port is exposed on the water surface. If the drainage pump is still ineffective, it is recommended to replace the pump;

Reverse the electric pump and change the phase sequence of the power line.

The pump casing sealing ring and impeller are damaged, replace with new ones.

6. The small submersible electric pump motor cannot start, accompanied by a buzzing sound:

If one phase is open, repair the circuit;

(2) Repair or replace the bearings of the supporting shaft;

There are foreign objects stuck on the pump body inside the impeller, in order to remove them;

Low voltage, adjust the voltage.

7. The current is too high and the ammeter pointer swings:

Clean the rotor cavity and replace the guide bearing;

The relative rotation between the shaft and the bearing is not flexible. Replace or repair the bearing;

Due to severe wear of the thrust bearing, the blade rotor and sealing ring wear together. Replace the thrust bearing or thrust disc;

The shaft is bent and the bearings are not concentric. Please send it to a cramping factory for repair.

8. Low insulation resistance of motor winding to ground:

If the motor winding and cable connector or cable are damaged, replace the winding and repair the connector or cable.

9. Severe vibration of the unit during operation:

The motor rotor is unbalanced, and all faults except for loose bolts that can be tightened are sent to the manufacturer for handling; The impeller of the water pump is unbalanced; The motor or pump shaft is bent.

10. Loose connecting bolts:

Reason: There are debris in the pipeline or inlet; The packing is worn and loose, and the water seal pipe is blocked. Damaged or loose impeller; The dynamic water level drops sharply.

Solution: Remove blockages, replace fillers, clear water pipe trenches, and install water seals correctly to break them; Or tighten or replace the impeller; Lower the installation position of the pump or wait for the water level to rise before starting the machine.

11. High power consumption:

Reason: The speed is too high; Pump shaft bending; There are debris around the blade.

Solution: Adjust the appropriate speed; Correct the pump shaft.
